Rachel shares all about the impact of Daisy's Therapy Dog work and the driving force behind it which is of course is Sam, her beautiful little boy who passed away in May 2021 from FIRES (Febrile Infection Related Epilepsy Syndrome).

This is the first year that BBC local radio’s Make A Difference Awards will recognise animals as well as humans. For the first time local radio listeners and members of the public nominated and voted for animals that have made an outstanding contribution in their communities. Animals that have had a positive impact in their communities by improving the life of an individual or group of people are now eligible too. The new category was also open to those who work with animals to improve animal welfare.
